Custom URL crashes on Samsung phones

Hi everybody, I created an app for my world history class that links to the class website and an online text. Instead of using .pdf's in the Android version, I turned the .pdf's into .htm files and then used the custom url plugin to access. The url points to the specific ".htm" file on a shared folder in Google docs. Seems to work well...except on Samsung phones. Those students who have Samsung, find that when they click on a chapter--which is supposed to open the custom url screen, it freezes and crashes. It seems to be a problem only on Samsung phones; it works fine on my Droid. Any ideas?

Sorry. I refreshed a screen, I think and it submitted the question twice.

I don't mess with Android much right now but have used .htm files via custom URL of course. Do they work when they are accessed outside of Google Docs? Wondering if the way the Samsung phones are dealing with Google Docs. Do you have a server you can run it through? Can you hit the file if it is stored on Dropbox (wouldn't recommend Dropbox for live apps that get loads of traffic, folk have a history of getting their accounts suspended) server? What Android flavour are the running? All the same? Again, I haven't fired up in Eclipse in anger in a while. Somebody else will jump in and tell you why I am wrong and what's going on! You hosted or self hosted? Running latest BT Core? Eclipse up to date? What version of Android are the running, all the same build? EDIT Ps Pleased to meet you, tis a fine photo you have in your Avatar!

I've used customUrls on many Android apps, and the only problem I have run into is that you can't run a video in a the Android webview like you can in iOS. Other than that I have used it extensively in 2.0 and 3.0 and not had a problem.

Can you tell us what model of Samsung device(s)? Perhaps one of us has one and can do a test for you. Is the app on Google Play? If so, are there any error reports logged?

I know a couple of kids had the Galaxy S III. No error reports logged yet; I'll make sure to have that done on Monday. Play store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.januworldhistoryclass&hl=en I am using Buzztouch hosted. As for what versions they have of Android, I am not sure. Thanks for your help. I really appreciate it. The iOS version is next. All of my kids next year will have iPads.

I have just released an app on BT 3.0 that I have been told won't run at all on a Galaxy SIII. Just wondering, did you ever get to the bottom of this?
