(Solved) Push Notifications Rejections

Just putting it out there for self hosting control panels. You may need a dedicated IP to send push notifications. Apple uses ports 2195 and 2196 which are typically closed with shared IP web hosting accounts.

Hi again. Been a bit of chatter on here about hosting companies that allow those ports to open. GoDaddy do not, never will on shared hosting. HostGator do. Still think you have to ping hostgator once you are up and running. I have account at both. Always found GD control panel to a bit faster if a touch convoluted. Hostgator not quite as fast.

HostGator will open them, dedicated or not. They are very easy to deal with. -Tim

Ditto... I moved from GoDaddy to HostGator specifically for this reason several months ago. Once my HostGator account was setup, I contacted them and within five mins they opened up the proper TCP ports for me.
