Proud but audio question

Hi everyone, I just have to say it's so fun and rewarding to figure out this stuff- just got through code signing and provisioning issues and was able to run my first app on my own phone!! I know this is peanuts for some, but I know you're all encouraging no matter what stage others are! =) I have an audio file that plays when the app starts in the simulator, but doesn't do this on my phone. Where should it be located so the user can hear it? Right now it's in the BT Plugins folder by itself. Also, is there a way the user can turn it off if they want to, and if so, where/how do I add that? Thanks so much in advance! Sarah

Thanks, Sheri- I just don't have a BT Audio folder showing in Xcode- I'm sure this sounds naive, but how was I able to add audio to just the BT Plugins folder and hear it on the simulator? And how do I create a BT Audio folder?

And this audio is not essential to the app, I'd just like to figure it out. =)

Not Naive! Buzztouch is confusing and they are working really hard to get that solution solved. If you are open to it let's have a one to one google hangout and I can walk you through the steps. Until then I would recommend taking a look at https://www.buzztouch.com/resources/ http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCzfyEcijyTHCw9BGS8TWb_g Like most things there are upgrades and most of the material you see on the training videos will not match what the BT3.0 core has For instance BT_Audio folder has replaced BT_Sound folder I know the crew is working hard on fixing that and a new system is even being developed. That is the great thing about coming to a startup! You can watch it grow :) PM me anytime and I would love to help you get your baby published! (((HUGS)))) Sheri

In Xcode, in the sidebar column, right- click or control click. Make a new group. Name it BT_Audio Drag the sound file into that group (it looks like a folder) -- Niraj

Hi all, Sheri, thanks for the links- have seen some of them but will work through more as time permits. Niraj, I did create the BT Audio group/folder, and still hear the audio on the simulator, but after running it on my phone again, still am not able to hear it. Checked phone audio, deleted first version of the app on my phone, cleaned and rebuilt the app in Xcode. Anything else I can do? Thanks, Sarah

Also, when each new screen loads, I'm seeing the previous screen behind the new image for just a second. Not a big deal, but it's annoying. Is there a setting I'm missing that is making the transition slow?

Audio -- make sure you can hear a YouTube or an on-device song in iPhone. Screen transitions solution is at this link: https://www.buzztouch.com/forum/thread.php?tid=DD9A4A2A13632942789817D&currentPage=1 -- Niraj

Thanks, Niraj- I can hear other audio on-device, no problem. Tried deleting the app on the phone, and running again, still no audio on the phone. I feel like there must be something simple I've missed in Xcode... Thanks for the link to the screen transitions- I'm not a coder, do you think I can try this myself? Or will it be something that gets "fixed" by BT? (Wishful thinking... =)

You ca do it -- dive-in! It looks long, will only take you 10-minutes. I made it long for readability. I am a huge user of "white space" to speed-up comprehension. The water is fine, dive in! :-)

I will! Thanks again! Any further thoughts on the audio problem?
