Problems with eclipse

I can not seem to find eclipse to launch it. If I need to download it, I can't find it to download. I have downloaded all SDK stuff I think but I can't find anything with eclipse. I appreciate any help that I can get.

Hi @bizapp, It sounds like you don't have Eclipse installed yet. You'd remember if you did! ;-) Here are a couple docs that provide simple step-by-step instructions, including screen shots, on how to get this working : http://www.buzztouch.com/resources/Things_You_Need_Before_You_Start_Developing_Apps_v1.0.pdf http://www.buzztouch.com/resources/Setting_Up_Your_Android_Development_Environment_v1.2.pdf http://www.buzztouch.com/resources/Compiling_Your_Android_Application_v1.0.pdf Thanks! Mark

https://myskylla.wordpress.com/2012/01/05/installing-eclipse/ Read this. Did you install Eclipse? Java? SDK? ADT?

I am not sure what is going wrong. I have installed everything but they don't seem to be working together. I installed everything again and I still can't seem to get eclipse up and running

I've tried everything that I could read. Now when I try to open eclipse it says that I do not have Java installed but I installed that first.

Did you install the Java JDK instead of the JRE? That needs to be the case. You could always uninstall everything and the follow the guide. That might help. Mark

Trust but Verify. Verification of installation, will save you lots of troubles, plus tell you what's missing. There's links in the how to for Java.

Hi guys, yes I'm having almost the same problem and I followed the pdf word for word except the API isn't 14, it's 15. Everything seemed to install just fine (page by page and line by line) until I got to Step 8. page 20. On the Preferences page, Android is missing. The ADT in Step 7 seemed download just fine. All the pages match up until I get to page 20. Any suggestions you offer will be put into practice. Thanks,
