Hi, I want to have a feature in my app where people enter the date of birth of their child and then they get periodic notifications on their phone when the child becomes a certain age. Any suggestions on how to go about that?Thanks so much.

Just thinking out loud ... Are you thinking along the lines of an event calendar with reminders, or something that periodically reminds them "In 94 days your daughter will be 12 ... In 20 Days blah blah ... In 2 Days blah blah? (blah blah is just a filler ;-) ) In some of the cases a count down timer (that would go that far in the future) may be able to be worked into it. Understand I am newly back to BT, so am not 100% sure of what all IS possible yet. EDITED : Also, maybe include what you are making it for (iOS / Android / etc.)

Anything is possible for with buzztouch,there are no limits literally. Like N9LME-Applications suggested, some more specific info would be needed to know exactly what you are looking to do. If you cant do it with a plugin that on the market you could hire a plugin developer to do what you exactly want.The only people I know that does custom development are Chris1 and Dusko. There are probably others too.

I do want to state, I did not mean there was a finite limit with BT, just that I did not know what out of the box capabilities or setup or configuration changes have been upgraded while I was gone, as I have noticed quite a few that I am glad to see. :-) OFF TOPIC @cmcoffee Sure, you had to put my name in there, so I read it and know how funny it looks ... will be changing the name. I wish the display name and developer name could be different (so folder was a "developer identity name" and display name "their real name") but oh well. You can use local notifications, it does need a server. The app basically sets an "notification" to be displayed at a certain date and time. It looks like a Push Notification, but it comes from the app and not from a Server. -- Niraj

Thank you folks. My app has health related info for children at different ages, e.g. 1 month, 2 months, 3 months, 6 months, 12 months, 18 months etc. I want that parents enter the DOB for their child/children, and when the child gets to 12 months of age, they get a push notification to check out the 12 months section of the app. Not sure how much would a plug in developer cost to make this plugin denovo. I was expecting there would be a plug in for such function since I am sure many apps would like to have push notification alike this. All suggestions are very welcome and much appreciated.
