Xcode error iPhone/iTouch: ...missing required architecture... At least one must be present: armv6 (-19033).

When I try to archive my app, I get a two warnings: 1) iOS deployment targets lower than 4.3 are not supported (current IPHONEOS_DEPLOYMENT_TARGET = "3.0", ARCHS = "aremv7 armv7s"). 2) iPhone/iPod Touch: application executable is missing a required architecturwe. At least one of the following architecturesm ust be present: armv6 (-19033) I can't find a way to fix this... any help much appreciated... Thx, Dave

Funny, I am dealing with exactly the same problem right now! I read on another thread that on the latest version of Xcode the minimum IOS deployment target is 4.3 (out with 3.0). And indeed 3.0 doesn't appear as a choice in the info tab. If you do choose 4.3 as a deployment target your warning issue disappears but then another warning shows up: "Deprecations 'setStatusBarHidden:animated:'is deprecated in IOS 3.2 Mark, anymore thoughts? Cheers, Farcat

Deprecations are OK. It means the code still works, but that "better" code has been introduced to deal with the same functionality. It's nothing to be concerned about, as the app will still compile and run. Mark

Thanks Mark, always here to save the day! That's what I thought too - "just a warning" but when I try Build for Archiving nothing shows up in Organizer. Unless I have another issue. Sorry DaveM, I didn't mean to hijack your post, since we have the same issue I thought my trial and errors might be relevant. :) Farcat

I always do a Product...Build For...Build for Archiving, followed by a Product...Archive. That gets it over to Organizer for me. Is that what you're doing as well? Mark

Where is that red faced Emoticon when you need it? I forgot to ACTUALLY Archive after building for archiving... All is well for me. So @DaveM, changing the IOS deployment target to 4.3 solved my issue, I expect it will do the same for you. Thanks Mark. Farcat

I am getting a similar problem. My project appears in the archiving list. When i press the validate button it asks for the normal info and i give it what it asks. At the end it says i have an error. The error reads: iPhone/iPad touch: application executable is missing a required architecture. At least one of the following architecture(s) must be present: armv6 I googled it and i have seen the link GoNorthWest posted above but when i try that the errors list grows. Im not sure how i am supposed to get out of this one. I tried added the armv6 manually as the link says but i still get errors. Its the last thing i gotta do to submit but these dumb errors are increasing the rate of grey hairs outbreaks!
