Hey there, that's an excellent tip! After reading the article, peruse Apple's official page on that topic. https://developer.apple.com/app-store/review/rejections/ (A login is not required) Thanks for a great tip, Keith! :-) -- Niraj

Repeated Submission of Similar Apps That one is interesting - one of my apps was going to be a "3 in 1" but after using Mobac to generate some offline apps and finding the draft mbtiles file came to 20MB I figured I might need to make 3 apps after all. It would be interesting to know what they consider "similar" to be. I've found guys who have 100 cookie cutter apps for tourist destinations that are feed driven and require no actual appreciation for the destination.

For the most part I have had no problem with the review process with Apple. Usually when I hear of an app getting denies it's due to poor interface and just limited content. This past year, however, I had a medical app denied because it calculated medication dosages for infants (it was designed to tell parents how much tylenol or motrin to give based on their weight when they have a fever). Unknown to me there is actually a guideline that says this is not allowed. However there are literally hundreds if not thousands of apps (including some of my own) that allow this very feature. I tried fighting it... they said flat out that pointing out all the other approved apps, some very new, that did the exact same thing wouldn't help. I lost and now I'm a little jaded. I spent a lot of time and money on it. I may try tweaking it at some point and resubmitting under a different name, we'll see. -Josh

@mutzy Hate to hear that. I know how infuriating that is when you other folks doing similar and being allowed. Just shows there is no exact science and the game of approval is job in itself whether you are pushing envelope or not. So much still depends on one reviewers interpretation of the guidelines. That's what we love the walled garden, right? You've got this. Do it!

mutzy - I'd have bought that 10 years ago! It was always a nightmare trying to remember how much to give them!

I had one app rejected three times a couple years ago, and the experience kind of took some of the fun out of it. I think the reviewer had a chip on his shoulder. Now the process of app approval is more stressful than fun for me. Yippee for Google Play!
