Rate App Plugin?

Hi, I added this rate button to my app where I was able to put a link (I had to fill in my app's Apple ID) into the third party app plugin and if you clicked on it, it would launch the app store and you could then click "write a review." I deleted this by accident and now I can't remember how to do it again. I checked the forum but can't find the post where I first saw it. Does anyone know what the link would be? This is not the "rate my app" plugin that involves the code. Thanks.

Thank you, but it wasn't this one. It was something you could do with the "Launch Third Party App" plugin.

Here's what I have in my app... Choose the "launch native app" screen and for the data string paste in the following where YOURAPPID is your app's apple ID number. https://userpub.itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZUserPublishing.woa/wa/addUserReview?id=YOURAPPID&type=Purple Software Josh

Thanks Josh, I tried this and it went to the App Store but then said "Cannot connect to Apple Store." I put my app ID in the "YOURAPPID" part.

Hmm, not sure. Just checked my app and it's still working. Are you trying this on your device? Simulator?

I tried it on my device. Two questions: Should I be including "userpub" part at the beginning and also, should it say "=PurpleSoftware" at the end?

Got it now! I accidentally had a space at the end of the link (from copying the link) but now it works. Thanks so much!

Sorry for the questions but one last thing, when you click the link to rate it, it first opens Safari, then iTunes, and then the App Store. Is there a way so that it just opens the App Store and not Safari and iTunes?

Hey @Shak77 Here is a good link for you, I believe the Safari first method is just the nature of the beast in terms of the way it redirects in this instance. http://bjango.com/articles/ituneslinks/

I actually found the old link that I had. If you use the link below it goes straight to the App Store: itms-apps://ax.itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewContentsUserReviews?type=Purple Software&id=INSERTAPPID
