Don't wait on BT meetup - go network with other devs in your area that are already organized. Turn them onto BT. I've done this with a handful of groups here and made some great connections. Here's a group with almost 600 devs in Orlando and they have a meetup next week: http://www.meetup.com/Orlando-iOS-Developer-Group/ (and Oladipo is a Monster. You guys have the ROY right there.
