Dropbox just suspended my account for too much traffic!

So all my images hosted by them are now not working in the app! Incredible. Frantically moving them all before my ratings crash. What an absolute joke.

Try copy.com - not as popular and works well with bt *Dropbox is for storage and not heavy app traffic. Good luck transitioning before the users start rating

Sorry bro! Not the first person that has happened to. Wouldn't advise anyone to use it for anything other than, well sharing of docs and docs on the go. Don't rely on free services for money making! Happy Friday.

It's only midnight! You'll knock it out. Means the app is successful right? Good times.

It was, got raped by 'copycats', so made it free to bump it back up the chart. Has one IAP which might sell a few, the aim was to get it back on the map where it was :) Its taken over a thousand downloads in the last hour (used parse to see this) so looking cool. Pisser of a job though!

Would there be any reason why not to host with flickr?

It's all moved over to copy, well one app is. Will need to move again for sure if traffic remains the same. Will look into it tomorrow, I'm whacked now!

You set up on the self hosted BT server? There is no reason you couldn't put the pictures on your hosting account.

I use Flickr to host my images, but lately I've found that having them local is a better idea. Flickr is fine for the job, and you can specify what size of image you want to download onto the app. But be quick! You need your apps working fast! A bit of a nightmare you seem to be having.

I use images dragged into Xcode for smaller, often used items like navigational elements etc. For larger files I tend to use imageshack - http://imageshack.us as its fast, been going for a decade so isn't likely to disappear soon. Also have used Flickr as it connects to the screen data url in Image Gallery (v1.5) which is great for loading large external images that would make the app too large if placed inside the app. Also Flickr has the advantage of being able to add or remove images as you want without having to resend an update to apple.

My app would have exceeded 300mb so hosting them inside the app wasnt an option. I'm going to try flickr - Have used them for users galleries and always worked well. Do they have a bandwidth limit?
