App Submission

Probably a subject that has been discussed multiple times but couldnt find my answer when doing a search.... I's probably take a stab that at least 50% of the members here has published an app on the appstore.... I was just wondering how long the review process is on average? I submitted mine 2 days ago and its still in the queue. Im in no rush but im just curious if its days, weeks or even months ?? Thanks!

usually it takes about a week for it to be reviewed, but i had one application that took 8 1/2 days, but that app was pure junk now that i look back on it. But the best answer i can give you is around 7 days.

Waiting for review is around 5-7 days normally. Once in review you'll find out that day. Good luck!

Be careful.. I got in review and it took 5 days beyond that.. Big tease. 7 days is the norm from all the research I did. If you get rejected, know that it will take similar time after resubmit.. Android FTW here.

Actually had one approved in 3 days once, but seems like 7 is much more the norm.

Exactly 7 days from when i submitted until it was approved. The BT location map tells me they tested it 4 days after i submitted on an ipad simulator at a University north of Cuppertino. then 3 days later it was tested on an ipad at the mothership in Cuppertino and then i got 'approved' 2 hrs later.

My update to app got rejected, lol! Ah, the joys. Good reason as well - We found that the icons in your app are too similar to the iOS Springboard and icons, which is not in compliance with the App Store Review Guidelines. Specifically, it would be appropriate to remove the rounded-corner design from the icons in your app. Bizarre thing is the screenshot they sent me that they had issue with had not changed from previous version. All I had added was Push and Game Center, oh well! Friday isn't it? Anyone have a ciggy?

4-7 days is the average for me. I like to look at the website below and it's pretty accurate: http://reviewtimes.shinydevelopment.com/
