Cool - pretty exciting stuff! So who exactly will be developing these Applit apps?

@Absentia: "So who exactly will be developing these Applit apps?" Figured that was your job? Right? Ha! We'll end up developing the first few on our end then explore some other ideas about how to best move forward. We like the idea of a "community thing" (lots of buzztouch folks, like you, and others we are familiar with) working on these cool projects. But, until we see a bit more detail about their design specs, ideas, complexity, etc. we'll need to move slow. I can very much imagine a day when we have lots of this type of work going on at the same time. Imagine a few of us taking on each project. Several projects. Several buzztouch gangs helping each other. Naturally this is much MUCH more difficult than most folks realize. It's easy to assume that we've "don't have development work" and therefore would want this new partnership to fill the coffers. That is NOT the intention. We are solicited literally every single day by somebody that wants us to program / build their app ideas. Finding development work is not a challenge for us, we have credibility, exposure, and loads of experience. But, doing development work-for-hire is a slippery slope. As soon as we begin focussing on custom dev work, we also, at the same time, STOP focussing on creating the best darn tools on the planet to make and manage apps. We want to make cool and useful software and support and eager, enthusiastic, and skilled audience. Focussing on app development doesn't help us reach that goal. BUT, partnerships like this DO help us show other would-be folks that this is the tool and approach to use to make high quality stuff. Bottom line...we are stoked for the future and look forward to having lots of opportunities for lots of folks that support us and are looking. We just need to make sure we don't get the cart-in-front-of-the-horse :-) I need to add a word counter on this thing so I don't exceed my daily limit!

anyone submit any ideas yet? I sent over one already and have a second one I'm thinking about submitting. Applits is very responsive and seem excited to have the ideas. Like their approach so far. I'd like to see something big get built that has a large user base so that everytime the app launches, people are exposed to a big BUZZTOUCH and an APPLITS logo on launch. So I'm angling for tourist type attraction app in hopes it generates exposue, that's the main point of this right, exposue to show what BT can do, yes/no?

Since the goal is exposure more than revenue, we could do a public service app. How about something for the US national parks?

@ATRAIN53: I'll assume you've seen the other winning ideas and are asking if anyone here has submitted any. I've submitted about 25! LOL. The tag line (at the bottom of each app) reads "Imagined by Applits, Developed by buzztouch" and it looks amazing in high quality graphics. Hint: I've seen some of the concepts already and I'm even more excited now than before. These dudes understand how to make something gorgeous - a very VERY important concept. I'm most interested in seeing in a literal sense how long it takes to knock these out. Most of the ideas are complex and have what most folks would consider "complicated requirements." I'm not at all worried about executing on these ideas, I do this for a living. But I'm very interested in taking a requirement and seeing how well "buzztouch applies" to solving each of the new situations. Each app will bring new requirements and as such new challenges for us and / or anyone involved in the development process. The challenges are not associated with "getting it done" but instead associated with "is the buzztouch approach the best approach to solve this problem." I expect the answer to be YES sometimes....and NO sometimes. It's the NO situations I'm most excited about. There is no replacement for developing actual functionality - it's where the rubber meets the road (so to speak). I 100% imagine using our tools to solve these problems will introduce new and exciting ways to make buzztouch better, more flexible, and more efficient for everyone that uses it. Stoked to get the first requirement in it's entirety.

I was trying to figure out if APPLITS has any published apps to look at. I don't see any screens or links on the site, so I'm feeling like this is new to them as well. I am surprised that they haven't been slammed and that thread hasn't blown up. People post ideas on here constantly that are beyond thier skills and ask for help. APPLITS seems like the prefect sport for that! Maybe they are getting more submissions. Hopefully they are. I share the same philosipy as @Zoid66 about ideas. But I submitted one anyways because the idea of a collaborative app with you guys would be awesome. This is what I'm slowly learning as I keep developing, I need someone to work with and you guys seem to have your act together ;)
