1/22/13 Webinar - Q&A with David (transcript)

I know a few of us have asked Warren to do this- I think the scheduling/recording is enough of a task. So here's my quick attempt at a transcript form the webinar that just ended. Maybe once Warren posts it here or on Youtube we can paste this in the comments. I'm aware some of these are "Member only" and not all content will be shared, but maybe seeing some of the questions might entice non members...? I'd also love to beg David for some of those older notes with code snippets he used in webinars? If we give you the date of the webinar, do you still have the files somewhere? "Q & A with David Book" Tue, Jan 22, 2013 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM EST 00-03 mysps Questions 1) How do we Remove or Deactivate installed plugins? 03-23 Niraj Shah Questions 2) Depreciated warnings in BT for Xcode 6 - what are they and how can we fix them? 3) 'Remember Together' library viewcontroller discussion 23-30 AT53 Questions 4) Can you walk us thru the self hosted upgrade process step by step and preferably using a standard FTP client like Filezilla? 5) Can you walk us thru collecting the users locations so that we could build a user map on self hosted? or is it possible that the user map will be added as a feature to SH? 30-55 LA Questions 5) discussion of the custom JSON properties in the index.php file 6) Discussion of changing "BTAppDelegate" name in souce code when creating new plug-ins.. 7) Wrapup and discussion of when latest Self Hosted will be avail (soon!) 8) Reminder of April 19-22 BT User Conference in ST Louis. and just before it ends, David figures out that the "Summary Tab" is where you can manually change the build settings in Xcode. ----- I'll try to do more of these and use better time markers for future webinars. I usually only catch the daytime ones live, so transcripts may have to wait until I see it. Thanks again Warren & David - still trying to absorb all these great lessons....just awesome stuff!
