Welcome App Master. Any book by Stephen G. Kochan is pretty good. This will start at the basics, like programming simple calculators Basic. how have to actively do the tutorials at the end of each section though otherwise you can quickly get lost along the way.

Agreed with Langley. Stephan Kochan's Programming in Objective C is a good place to start. Its where I started. Kochan also did a video series with LiveLessons. The videos are a little dated. There are supposed to be some new videos coming out any time now. The book itself is fairly up to date. Kochan also has an active forum for the book in case you get stuck.

We can download it using this URI http://www.it-ebooks.info/book/1201/ Thanks to the author for publishing this for free. I am poor so I look for free stuff. I'll browse this and read carefully those portion that I need. Actually, I am writing to myself so I will have a guide/reminder.
