I am compiling my first Android app using Android Studio. Check to see what your build tools level is; should be around 23 or so... whatever, set it to the highest you have. For the build 'version, try increasing the SDK level a notch or two... maybe go high, and gradually change it lower if it compiles without errors. Do this in your build.gradle file for the 'module' (app). Cheers! -- Smug

Have a look at the build.gradle file you get after downloading the package from the BT server: compileSdkVersion 14 buildToolsVersion "22.0.1" defaultConfig { applicationId "com.xyxyxyxyxyxy" minSdkVersion 14 targetSdkVersion 14 You see that it expects build tools version of 22.0.1, which has been serving well for more than a year by now.
