Maps location and IOS 6

Hey, IOS 6 is coming has anyone had this experience. I found that when using a map location screen, if I have the show driving directions, if pressed, it does not open the new native maps app. It opens google maps on safari. Does anyone know how to change this? Cheers. Miguel

@David is working on making changes to his code to address the new iOS 6 requirements. He's having to make several changes, but should be done soon!

All code that worked for the google maps, will work for the new apple maps. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I think you're wrong. Instead of opening the native map app, it opens google maps on safari.

There are some unannounced changes, sounds like you've found one of them. It would not surprise me a bit if we see a new iOS 6 map APi with newly added functions, and removed functions. It sounds like opening driving directions in safari is cheezy! Lets hope they give us a way to open native maps with turn by turn routing, that would make the necessary code changes for maps worth it :-)

No I'm talking about the code to embed a map kit based view. That code hasn't changed. Apps like yelp use the new maps without an update. Same with many others. As for that link you've found your right about that.
