Nexus 4,5,6 Running Android 5 Don't Work!

Hi Guys I've recently be getting emails from customers downloading my Android app, saying that it won't work on Nexus 4/5/6 running Android 5. Is this a common issue with BT apps that I should know about and does anyone have any ideas how I can get the app to work on these devices. Apparently the app won't launch. Any advice would be appreciated.

Sometimes it's spam. Could be the 5.0 update. http://www.gottabemobile.com/2014/12/30/nexus-lollipop-problem/ Honestly buzztouch apps are more professionally made than others. You can check google developer for crash reports. If there are problems with the core or plugins, the crash report could help us learn why.

Ok. Will check out your link. The only uses two plugins, the splash screen and custom URL plugins. I will look at the report as well.

It could be that those devices are just underpowered to run Android 5, and subsequently any decent apps as well. I updated my Nexus 7 with Android 5, and it's running super slow. My apps work, but the entire thing is just sloggy. Mark

Try adding android:largeHeap="true" to your manifest - I would be interested to hear if it helps Cheers, Alan

Any tips on how I stop Andriod from wanting access to users: contacts, camera, location etc Users can't understand why and I don't either.

Too complicated for me. Lol, is there a simple turn off switch?

I didn't see any simple switches in a studio. It might be somewhere else in a studio, not sure in eclipse.I'm you click on the manifest file and a permissions button is on the first or second tab at the bottom when you open it. Honestly for me in eclipse it's simpler to go to the last tab and delete the xml code for permissions.there in all caps at the top of the file
