This is the default screen of youtube android plugin. Prequesite:save this image https://www.buzztouch.com/applications020113/JAF007400FCCB74C3646C3300/images/button.png Here's how to: 1)load your project in eclipse..add the button.png to res>drawable.(You can use the button i provided or uses your own button image just rename it to button) 2)go to res>layout>screen_sp_youtube_android.xml 3)open it 4)Find this: <Button android:id="@+id/play" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_centerHorizontal="true" android:layout_centerVertical="true" android:text="Play Video" /> 5) Replace with : <Button android:id="@+id/play" android:layout_width="100dp" android:layout_height="100dp" android:layout_centerHorizontal="true" android:layout_centerVertical="true" android:background="@drawable/button"/> 6)Checkity clikingon graphicallayouttoseeif the buttonis there..

Could this be added as an option, since the background image for the video and the text are already there!? Speaking of which, some kind of suggestion on the size of the background image would be nice. I experimented and concluded that the size of 400 x 400 is relatively good. Would it be possible to load the images from a URL address? The example can be found in AT53 Video Player Plugin, under Video File Name.

Good stuff @Suvinay, looks great. This will def help folks customize that screen. It's like an empty easel - you can add anything to it you want if you edit the code. Love the movie posters.

I've been doing a similar thing - take a snapshot of the video starting, use the snapshot as the background and make a full screen transparent button: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/56760890/2013-02-20%2014.50.11.png click anywhere on the screen to open the video, but I guess most people will hit the 'play button'. *edit Doesn't look so good in landscape though!

what i suggest is,edit the the snapshot by removing the play button and other stuff in bottom and add youtube like transparent button with glass efect..
