Now, I'd like to make a video demonstrating the Android version of my app. Does anyone have any suggestions? How can I get a good looking Android phone on my computer screen? I guess I could search for a high quality Android phone picture and overlay screenshots ontop... but I would prefer live interaction. A large enough number of screenshots will enable you to make a good video in, say, Camtasia or any other decent video editor. I use this that you might find useful.. http://sourceforge.net/projects/ashot/ Overview/instructions: http://www.mightypocket.com/2010/08/android-screenshots-screen-capture-screen-cast/ It's a bit slow and painful but does an ok job. It doesn't seem possible in android to use real video capture (although it might be possible with rooting?), what ashot does is generate a bunch of image files.
