I'm not posting this in the main bug thread because I'm not sure if this is just a problem on my end. My problem - every time I make changes in my control panel and hit save, my app does not notice the changes. BUT, if I click save again my app will notice the changes. It's the weirdest thing, but it consistently has been happening for the ever since I started working with 3.0 - my app will only notice changes after I click save and re-launch my app twice. It's becoming pretty frustrating to deal with, and I'm wondering if it will keep behaving this way once it is in the app store. I'm thinking it has something to do with all of the "modifiedFileName" code in appDelegate.m but that code is way too confusing for me to start messing with Has anybody else been having this problem?

I have the opposite problem. A manual change to the bt_config.txt file within Xcode does not show up within the Simulator. The app keeps grabbing the data from the Control Panel instead. -- Niraj

Niraj: Delete the app. Re-run it… Don't update. Once the app has refreshed in the simulator, it's cached and you'll have to start over again… Cheers! -- Smug

Thanks, Smug. I reset the Simulator and quit Xcode and Simulator. No luck. I finally had to comment out the URL to the server's config file. That "fixed" it. :-( -- Niraj

I'm under the impression the refresh is a core 3.0 Bug that is still being worked out - like the duplicate nickname issue and bt_screen.php issues that are still lingering. All the other reported bugs are for specific plugin screens as far as I can tell - but these 3 issues are BT Core problems that are still in need of attention. My 3.0 apps never prompt the user to refresh, I never see the 'This apps data has changed, would you like to refresh' message. I have to do it manually all the time. @Absentia I am having the same problem with my apps updated to 3.0. Both are Buzztouch hosted. 1 shows the alert menu that the app content has changed. The other app has the automatic refresh implemented. Neither app refreshes on its own. I am going to submit a bug report about this to Buzz Tools.

LOL. It's not your job and they have a lot of other things I'm sure they are working on. I'm just surprised because the app content refresh is one of the main things that sold me on BT and something I keep bragging to my other dev buddies they have to build themselves if they don't use BT.
