help with new ap

ive designed a guide to chorley 16 buttons with an online forum for them toi use, just submitted it but got rejected because Guideline 4.2 - Design - Minimum Functionality Your app provides a limited user experience as it is not sufficiently different from a mobile browsing experience. As such, the experience it provides is similar to the general experience of using Safari. Including iOS features such as push notifications, Core Location, and sharing do not provide a robust enough experience to be appropriate for the App Store. Please see attached screenshots for details. Next Steps To resolve this issue, please revise your app to provide a more robust user experience by including additional native iOS functionality. can anyone give me any ideas as to what to add to try and get this approved https://www.dropbox.com/s/l6kxe95d24wmyj7/2.png?dl=0 cheers sean

The home page looks nice. Is this a new app or an update? Do the buttons go to internal app pages or to a web page? Dave

Ah yes, the dreaded "minimum functionality". The problem is that many BT users end up designing what is really no more than a mobile website with icons. Apple doesn't like this. They want you to use native iOS features. If your icons just link to websites then your app will certainly get rejected. Some tips: 1- First off, get rid of the icon labels since the text is already on the icon itself 2- As Calypso kid mentioned, if these icons link to external web pages, consider changing it to internal html files to keep them within the app 3- Use more iOS functionality (meaning more plugins). Have them send an email or call you with those specific plugins. Maybe link to your app on the app store. Add search plugin. Or a map with your location. Long story short, if they can't tell the difference between your app, and a mobile version of a website, it will get rejected. Josh
