Scringo Removed from Project Download

Hi Gang, I meant to post this earlier and blew it. I didn't realize ya'll would notice so quick. LOL. The Scringo package has been removed from the standard package download. This may or may not be permanent. Why?: The Scringo folder, and associated references to it (only two files referenced it) were removed because we're making some architectural changes to the download server and the way it does or does not include third party SDK's in the future. The improved "download source code" screen is almost complete and we think you'll like the new approach when you get your hands on it. What do I do now?: Adding the Scringo SDK to your existing app, or a new app is trivial and not much more difficult than including it to begin with. a) Download it from Scringo b) Add it to your project (iOS and Android have different methods) c) Scringo-i-fy your app. If you're working with older files or an existing project and are seeing warnings or errors: Remove all references to "Scringo" from your app's source code. These references are only in two classes. [app name]_appDelegate.m, .h BT_viewController.h, .m Search for Scringo in those files, remove it. If you want to re-add it again, drag it in :-)

@David. Thanks for the update...looking forward to the new changes. So one question: if we already downloaded the source (I'm trying to finish off an app), do we still need to remove it from the source and then re-download the whole source again when the new process is in place? Or, only if we start to get errors? Thanks

Hi buzzer' Up to you. If you want to use Scringo, leave it in an go for it. If you don't, remove the folder and the references to it and you'll be fine. There are only two files where it's referenced and only a few lines of code to remove to get rid of it. Just look for Scringo.h (like in the include) or "Follow the warning links" in Xcode to isolate the lines. Blow em' out...all good.

Thanks David. I'll leave it in since I'm using it. I'm assuming other changes in the control panel won't affect Scringo. Cheers

Buzztouch + Scringo out for the long term or just until kinks are rolled out? I thought It was a great compliment to the service. Would love to see that rolled back in someday.

HI Ian I followed your tutorial for the scringo update for IOS but Xcode gives me 2 errors: Undefined symbols for architecture i386: "_OBJC_CLASS_$_ASIdentifierManager", referenced from: objc-class-ref in Scringo ld: symbol(s) not found for architecture i386 clang: error: linker command failed with exit code 1 (use -v to see invocation) Any suggestions? I just dowloaded the scringo folder and copied it to the core folder maybe I'm missing a step, with this new version do I still need to copy the app ID to the code? thanks!!
