How to Copyright your original work.

Stealing is wrong. We all know that. Recently there have been a few occurrences of 'borrowed intellectual property'. Whether the individual does this intentionally or not, the individual who labored over the design, collection and data entry, assembly, and compilation of an app should be protected by the law. And fortunately, they are. It's called a copyright. And online filing is only $35. And while a copyright may not protect you from someone selling a copy of your product in wherever-land, it goes a long way in 'first world' countries, which is usually the primary market. It's not as difficult as you might think, and I've taken it upon myself to document the procedure so that you'll be able to make it through a (reasonably) mistake free registration of your work. It's located in the BT How To section: https://www.buzztouch.com/files/howtos/BTCopyright.pdf As with any of my tutorials, I've done my best to ensure accuracy, but I don't guarantee anything. Unfortunately it only applies to US Copyrights; if you know the procedure in your country, you're encouraged to document and share. Cheers! -- Smug PS, Being the 'first' to copyright a word still doesn't make you the 'owner', if proof of creation can be documented. Some Musician friends of mine would send themselves their songs via the Mail, so that a sealed, postmarked and dated document would reach their mailbox. They would then file them away. That is a legal document, as long as it is opened by an officer of the court.

I kind of skimmed through a little, but read the first few pages thoroughly. I think that is a very well written guide and VERY useful. It's given me loads of food for thought.
