iOS Versions

I am running self hosted BTv3.0 and I download my app projects as v3.0, but I could download v2.0. I understand that it is a requirement that all new iOS apps are created for iOS 7. Does this, therefore, limit the amount of devices that can run newly submitted apps? What can be done to maximise the number of apps that can run new apps? I would be grateful for advice. John

Actually, the minimum version of iOS for Buzztouch apps is 5.0, which covers almost all in use.

Thanks, Chris. I'm just starting developing for iOS. I thought all new app submissions had to be for iOS 7. Won't I get rejected if I develop for 5.0?

They need to be compiled with Xcode 5.x.x, but the target doesn't have to be ios 7. (yes, its always confusing, lol)
