Hi, I need to have some kind of back button, but the standard nav bar at the top isn't customisable enough for it to fit in with my design. So ... I figured a tab layout would be the way to go, but again - ugly black looks sooooooo wrong in my app. Is there a way to change the tab layout to transparent? OR Has anyone figured out how to change the top nav bar? I would love to have my own image instead. Thanks in advance. Christine

What I mean buy ghost is that if you open a tab and then that screen MOVES to another screen - how do you get back to the original screen on the tab? ios puts a BACK button there for you automatically it appears - but this custom nav bar seems to stop that button from appearing - but if you tap in the area it goes 'back' so the functionlaity/buttonis there but you can't see it, hence a "ghost". I've been reading that properly sub classing the nav bar as a controller is the proper method to fix that. I'm kind of playing with that - but love the quick code to change it here and can see why lots of programmers go this route!
