Hi guys, When I attempt to download plugins from my control panel using the feature provided, it never installs them. I'm running hostgator, and I remember that some smart peeps on the forum figured it out, something about a script not allowed to run, contact live support, they open up the blocked stuff, and bam, you can download and install plugins from the control panel with your buzztouch account. I have clients that need plugins updated and it's getting tedious downloading them one by one, now that theres over 100 or so. I can't for the life of my buzztouch and google searches find any reference to this fix on the forums. I know it's around.. but where! Is your FTP locked? This could be the source of the problem. Also, make sure the /files/temp/ directory is on READ+WRITE+EXECUTE

I have had to download plugins manually from buzzotuch then upload them to self hosted via ftp to get them to download in the project packages.

I'm in the same situation as @nadthevlad.. in previous versions I could at least upload new plugins, now nothing. I have to upload via ftp and refresh. What I find odd, is that the plugins have the same version 1.5 and in a video David had 1.6 for the Buzztouch simple menu last week. My hosting hasn't changed at all. Not sure why its giving us racket this time around. I'm sure we will get it all sorted out soon!

DARN. That was not it. I know hostgator is blocking something that stops downloading plugins to your control panel from account. It's in some other thread, this was recent, at least 4 months ago or earlier I think. David

The following is a more specific definition of Hostgator and what they did to fix issue. Thanks David for leading me to this answer. The following is the completed email ticket from hostgator which fixed the issue David has written about. I gave Hostgator log in credentials and the path for them to view the problem from my platform. Here is their response after white listing. Hello.
