custom icon for navigation bar

I am trying to make the right navigation bar icon go back to my homescreen which I've figured out. Right now I've modified the "home" button with this code. However the "Home" button is wider than I'd like and I would much rather have a small icon (think house) than the text "home". All of the other right navigation bar icons that use icons and not text appear to be inherent to xcode (ie UIButtonTypeInfoDark) so there is no local file for me to change. Has anyone done this?
