BT30 - Day 10 - Adding a .ics subscription to calendar

BT30 is my personal project to contribute to buzztouch: https://www.buzztouch.com/forum/thread.php?fid=2348BA49BA5737C92E3D9B5&tid=2348BA49BA5737C92E3D9B5 Day 10 - Adding a .ics subscription to calendar This one is going to be a simple one: I have a client who wanted to make a button that would subscribe the user to his Google calendar for his school events. To do this all you need to do is create a new screen with the "LAUNCH NATIVE APP", use SAFARI and make sure the link you put in ends with .ICS. The cool thing is it shouldn't actually take you out of the app and launch Safari, rather, it will make a popup inside of the app asking if you want to subscribe to that calendar, making it look like part of the app :-) All done! Now they are subscribed to your .ICS feed (calendar) which gets added to their native calendar app, all of the events will show up there and they will get alerted as if they made the events themselves. Not a big one, but something really cool that I stumbled upon. Hope this helps someone! David

This sounds like a good idea. Silly question though. How do you create a .ics file :S
