How to get a local mp3 file to play in the eclipse emulator?

I've referenced the mp3 file I want played as a sound effect in the control panel, but in the eclipse emulator, no sound plays. Is there anything I need to configure to get it to work?

It is already added to the eclipse workspace in the drawable folder. In the emulator, no background sound plays.
