I can't get the video to work on my App. When i first put the video plugin on another video played so i know the plugin is downloaded properly i just cant figure out how to put the youtube video on i want to. Hi Sophie, Have you marked the video private? Also, the video id is normally the string before &list. So I think your video id is Y4eQc8onl64 - try that.

It was private so i made it public and used the id you sent above :) The simulator for the App still has a black screen and just says loading. If theres anything else you can think of that would be great:) Thank you :)

Simulator may well have an issue loading - always better on a real device this one :)

Is the video allowed to be watched on the YouTube mobile app? If no, it won't load in your own app. Adam

I include the PL prefix with my id

For example in this playlist url: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2q7XGuH2Q-s&list=PLuR1PJnGR-Igj4mNcr6_zDkQ3DTVA6wG5 Everything after "PL" is the id "uR1PJnGR-Igj4mNcr6_zDkQ3DTVA6wG5". so I use this as my id: PLuR1PJnGR-Igj4mNcr6_zDkQ3DTVA6wG5

Thats the Android Studio tour video (Setting up a project and gradle); if the string is just after the video id - that would be "2q7XGuH2Q". The playlist ID however is as CM puts it "PLuR1PJnGR-Igj4mNcr6_zDkQ3DTVA6wG5" If you go to YouTube and paste by of these strings in, one reveals the video only (video id) whilst the other reveals the full playlist which contains 4 X videos. Depending on what you want displayed then use appropriate string.

I've downloaded the App onto my phone. And the video can play on the mobile youtube App. The I'm pretty sure the Youtube URL i'm using dosn't have a PL in it but it sounds like from the comments above it is because the App is set for iOS, not android. The readme.txt contents for the plugin states: "This plugin uses the HCYoutubeParser to get the iOS compatible video URL from YouTube. https://github.com/hellozimi/HCYoutubeParser " but i don't understand how to use this site to get the right URL:/
