ERROR Package result is not valid JSON? HELP ..

i Keep getting the error "Package result is not valid JSON?" this on a project i have worked on like a month ago and i just made a few screen changes to it and now i'm getting this error when i try to download the package. Can someone help please. Thank you

Take your config.txt json file and put it through the json lint site and that should give us a clue. Post back if it doesn't seem meaningful to you and we can take a look. Cheers, Alan

I did that already and it says it's a valid JSON data.

I saw this once when I pre-filled an email plugin field with some punctuated text that didn't go down very well. Could it be something like a quote mark in the recent screen edits you made?

I have reversed all the changes i made in the screen and still getting the same error.

So you're unable to even download the project? That seems strange. Is this on a self-hosted server or buzztouch.com?

Hmm - that would indicate an error in the response your server receives from buzztouch.com when requesting the package. David Book will probably have to look into it. You can always try re-installing the self-hosted software and see if that works too.

How do i re-install the self-hosted software? would it affect what i have on the server now ?

It shouldn't affect anything. Just upload the install files except for your config.php file and go through the install process like normal.

I think the last update has to do with Android Studio support but I'm not sure

Let me point out that it's only happening when i try to download the files for a specific app. all the other once i have on my server works ok !!!

OK. So it worked prior to adding these new screens a month ago? No need to re-install if so. That will not fix an app that used to work and now doesn't if you are re-installing in the current state and the problem only relates to this one app. Is that the case? Have you worked back removing the screens you added? Have these screens/plugins worked before? All other apps work as expected? Do they share the same screens?

agree with MacApple - if it works for all your apps except that one, then re-install isn't going to help most likely. Trying to remove screens one at a time until issue is resolved is probably way to go. I would copy the JSON using the little code icon from the screens page before deleting a screen, then if that screen is not the culprit add it back and paste in the old settings.
