Hi MacApple, I just downloaded the plugin from my cp and tried to upload it on my self hosted server. I got this error- Error Un-Zipping Archive? (1) This error is sometimes caused by the type of software that was used to create the .zip archive, it could not be opened. Do you have any idea why this error happened?

Zip files are a pain with web uploads. Try installing using the 'download directly from Buzztouch.com' method on your self-hosted, rather than uploading the zip. If that doesn't work, you'll need to FTP it in

Trust me folks, it is fixed. Had some funky things in browser this morning and stuck in a cell phone black hole in Indiana for my sins. Ran it this morning in Xcode and all was well. Will jump back on when I get home. Speak soon.

OK. Trust me it is fixed, going to have to call in the big boys to fix the issue you are all having. Rest assured the gallery is fixed, getting it to work is the issue. Hold on, that doesn't make sense. Stick with me (us) chaps. Something silly for sure.

Does save image and email image work on 7.0 for anyone? In all of the other deployment targets it shows up just fine but 7.0 its none existent? Maybe its just my app, I'm using a Tabs if that matters?

@mysps: I'm using tabs too and I have the same issue! No tool bar at all. Moreover, in other plugins, the bottom tool bar is displayed but without any icon/button. And if you tap on the spot where some icon/button is supposed to be, sometimes it triggers the right action, sometimes it makes the app crash... It's been more than 2 months that I got this issue on all screens using plugins with bottom tool bars, talked about it here and there in the forum and in PMs, no clue yet... Cheers Jack

Those usual icons aren't available, have you tried copying from the old 2.0 project to the new? I still have issues but it could help

@mysps: unfortunately it doesn't help! It's not about the tab bar icons (the ones that are not packaged, neither in 2.0 nor in 3.0), it's all about the bottom tool bar icons, the ones that are displayed at the bottom of the screen, just above the tab bar. In the MacImage Gallery, the ones where you save and/or email image, or where the next/prev buttons are displayed. In the Location Map, the ones where you select the map type, reload it, show the user location. And so on. None of these bottom tool bars are ok, in MacImage Gallery the tool bar is not displayed at all, in other plugins it is displayed but without any icon. In Location Map, the icons are present in the plugin folder, referenced in Xcode, etc. But they just don't show up. I just have a white bar where they should be and, if I tap exactly on the spot where they are supposed to be, it triggers the function (in the case of the reload map function) or crashes the app (in the map type or show user location function). This bottom tool bar issue and the rotation issue are the most severe problems I have. Actually it's the ones that prevent me from updating or creating any app since 2-3 months...

I've gotten in the habit of ditching the toolbar and making my own action sheet for image gallery functions. The only things missing are the next/prev image buttons, but they really aren't necessary. Here's a screenshot..you can see the button that activates the action sheet in the very top left corner - https://www.dropbox.com/s/2dr0fv2unuj9crd/Photo%20Dec%2021%2C%2012%2047%2012%20AM.png And here is a screenshot of the action sheet showing - https://www.dropbox.com/s/16y33ywe3n4zqfz/Photo%20Dec%2021%2C%2012%2047%2016%20AM.png Let me know if you guys are interested in doing it this way and I can share some code (posting on my iPhone right now)

@Sandeep - I added some code to BT_application.m in the -(void)buildInterface method. Here is the code I use - if(floor(NSFoundationVersionNumber) > NSFoundationVersionNumber_iOS_6_1){ [[UITabBar appearance] setBarTintColor:[UIColor colorWithRed:0.122 green:0.239 blue:0.322 alpha:1]]; }else{ [[UITabBar appearance] setTintColor:[UIColor colorWithRed:0.122 green:0.239 blue:0.322 alpha:1]]; } and here is a screenshot of where I put it - https://www.dropbox.com/s/3kwx03cxzgtx78v/Screen%20Shot%202013-12-21%20at%209.40.24%20AM.png iOS 6 seems to respond to "setTintColor" while iOS 7 responds to "setBarTintColor"..hence the if/else statement. So the only thing to change with that code is to set your own color for both lines (i.e. [UIColor blackColor])

alright guys, here you go (I'm not great at making PDF's so bear with me) - https://www.dropbox.com/s/djuq8t54o7td4h8/actionSheet.pdf that tutorial will show you how to make an action sheet for the Mac image gallery that will allow you to save pics, sort pics by most recent, shuffle pics randomly, share pics on Twitter, and share pics on Facebook I tested the tutorial on a brand new project and it should work perfect. FYI, you will need to build for iOS 6 and up, otherwise the Facebook/Twitter share will cause the app to crash Merry Christmas!

@Absentia how were you able to change the tabbar icon color? I've made to change my tabbar text color with the following -- but don't know about icon color [[UITabBarItem appearance] setTitleTextAttributes:[NSDictionary dictionaryWithObjectsAndKeys:[UIColor whiteColor], UITextAttributeTextColor, nil] forState:UIControlStateSelected]; [[UITabBarItem appearance] setTitleTextAttributes:[NSDictionary dictionaryWithObjectsAndKeys:[UIColor colorWithRed:0.667 green:0.667 blue:0.667 alpha:1], UITextAttributeTextColor, nil] forState:UIControlStateNormal];

@WaYsTiiD - I use custom images for my icons..that way I can customize my own selected and non-selected colors. find the line of code in BT_application.m that looks like this - //initialize a view controller for this type of screen (ClassName == BT_item.screenType) BT_viewController *thisTabsDefaultViewController = (BT_viewController *)[self getViewControllerForScreen:thisTabsDefaultScreenData]; thisTabsDefaultViewController.view.autoresizingMask = (UIViewAutoresizingFlexibleWidth | UIViewAutoresizingFlexibleHeight); directly after that line of code is where you want to put a block of code for the icons that looks something like this - if(i == 0) { [thisTabsDefaultViewController.tabBarItem setFinishedSelectedImage:[UIImage imageNamed:@"countdownSelected.png"]withFinishedUnselectedImage:[UIImage imageNamed:@"countdown.png"]]; } if (i == 1) { [thisTabsDefaultViewController.tabBarItem setFinishedSelectedImage:[UIImage imageNamed:@"pencilSelected.png"]withFinishedUnselectedImage:[UIImage imageNamed:@"pencil.png"]]; } if(i == 2) { [thisTabsDefaultViewController.tabBarItem setFinishedSelectedImage:[UIImage imageNamed:@"videoSelected.png"]withFinishedUnselectedImage:[UIImage imageNamed:@"video.png"]]; } if (i == 3) { [thisTabsDefaultViewController.tabBarItem setFinishedSelectedImage:[UIImage imageNamed:@"picSelected.png"]withFinishedUnselectedImage:[UIImage imageNamed:@"pic.png"]]; } if (i == 4) { [thisTabsDefaultViewController.tabBarItem setFinishedSelectedImage:[UIImage imageNamed:@"moreSelected.png"]withFinishedUnselectedImage:[UIImage imageNamed:@"more.png"]]; } of course this means that you will have to find icons that have both selected and non-selected color schemes that work with your interface. I use glyphish - http://www.glyphish.com - I recommend buying the entire set for $99...it's totally worth it, and I've gotten a ridiculous amount of use out of it. Once you download it there will be an .ai file for each icon set. You just need to open it in a vector design program (I use iDraw), then you can change the color and do whatever else you want.

Other than using action sheets as a replacement for the toolbars that are not being displayed, has anyone figured out a way to make the original mac image gallery toolbars appear? All mine shows is the image itself... no toolbar on the top or bottm, even though I specify them to show in the control panel

Updated plugin is now available for Self Hosted and BT Hosted. Few fixes. The navigation icons used to be included with BT projects and not part of the individual plugins, they are now included in the MacImage Gallery plugin. I know a few of you had figured this out but tis all good now! The way the bottom toolbar was being created is also changed now. It used to use the BT_viewUtilities to build the bottom tab bar. There's a new method in the plugin .m file so it no longer depends on the BT_viewUtilities class. It's a wee bit cleaner this way when you want to change how the bottom bar behaves. All good in the hood. Thanks to the ninja Book for the toolbar!
