Hello I wanted to know if there were any New York Area Meet ups. I would really like to speak to buzztouch people about experiences, collaborations, marketing and other ideas. Would anyone else be interested?

Not yet, but you could start one! The community has also been doing some Webinars and Google Hangouts that have been a lot of fun. I have been attending the Oxford England meet ups even though I live in Minnesota.

@feraco: Awesome. I have some business to do in NYC in January....maybe plan something then? If you're interested in steering a group, I'm happy to put an NYC meetup message on the meetups page? It's mostly a matter of organizing some emails, some folks, and some plans. Lots of these can be done online. In person is better but tough sometimes? Another idea is to use the buzzmap and find folks in your area using buzztouch. You can send them a private message if they have it allowed in their profile. Stoked to see something get going in the NYC :-)

I will start messaging some people through buzzmap. I would be happy to steer a group because sometimes i really feel like i need feedback and opinions about what im doing in buzztouch. I think that organization of the users could be very helpful. If you dont mind setting it up on meetup page and having them email [email protected]. I will definetly try to set something up for January. Thanks for the response.

wow, kinda surprising to see so few posts for a meet-up request in NYC - the biggest city in the country. don't feel bad, got no replies from Chicago when we tried earlier this year. got Warren to drive up from about 3 hours south tho. there does seem to be a large group of lurkers that never posts, so hopefully some of them get in touch! maybe.... NYC is where Aviary HQTS are. Not sure if you're into iphonegraphy or photo editing. but Aviary is a cool sdk you can add to edit photos in apps. Aviary has meetups and hack-a-things in NYC. I will look into that. I just think more collaboration with in this area could be very beneficial to all involved. I think buzztouch forums are fantastic for many reasons! I was thinking of sharing marketing strategies, successful apps, integrating apps into businesses ect.

@ATRAIN, I will come to Chicago if you do it again. It is only 7 hours away and I have relatives in Chicago.

I've got a couple of friends in MN I want to visit too. I think they are expecting so I might be up there for the briss if they have a boy.... maybe we can meet halfway and have a BT 2013 user Convention in the Wisconsin Dells? Haven't been there in forever. I know the lake drained but sounds like Tommy Bartlett is back in business. If twiggy is still on the bill... I agree with @atrain53, there are boatloads of folks in and around the area, it seems logical that some of them would want to connect in a more meaningful way.

Awesome! I'll be back state side for the holidays until the end of January. Hopefully we can get this East Coast meet up organized and going. I would be coming up from Virginia. Maybe Stobe could make the visit also, I'll try to contact him via private message. We could work around Davids January meeting to set a date!

I am frequent in New York City and would attend an event if it occurred while I was there. I was also thinking of starting an Atlanta Meetup group where I now live.

Yep Im an East Coaster, was hoping that this would formulate before head back over to Europe. Im heading to D.C on Friday.. I could go north one of those days or if anyone wants to do DC or Virginia. I'm open and around until the 25 of January

Yes I think the 3rd week of September I have a wedding but besides that pick another weekend and I'm in! Lets go east coast!

Ok Who When Where and What should the focus be? Woo another NY Meetup!

I think it should be focused on mainly all the features and functionalities of BT Control Panel and Self-Hosting Control Panel because I have realized that there aren't many tutorials on the control panel and should have hands-on workshops to help start new members (like me) to have a basic understanding. For all guests and memebers, new and old, all are welcome

Where are these types of meetups usually being held? What type of locations?

Last time I renting a space called green space in NYC. We all met for about 2 hours. I would love to run a learning session. We would need to find a space that is good for everyone and a date.

I love it! I would hmmm I will post an update on the meetup.com site. But the goal of this meeting is to show off the awesome features that buzztouch has to offer. Also to meet east coast buzztouch enthusiasts. Lets hope they let us use their space then we will start to promote this. anytime after 5pm. is good for me. I will be on my honeymoon the 20th. Ill be available the 24th though.
